Social networking sites

Twitter is different form Facebook for two reasons out of many. With the use of the hashtag symbol one can get the latest tweets about that certain topic one is looking for, the use of # is very useful to get what is going on in that very moment. For instance if you use #NYC it will show you millions of tweets that are being posted about NYC, it will help you find restaurants, spots, infinite things one can do in the city. Different from Facebook, users can only see what other friends posted, the use of hashtag exists but is not as popular as the hashtag in twitter. The use of this social network is different and it can be seen only by certain audience, which are the friends one has added, they will be able to see the posts. Of course that if the Facebook is for marketing, then yes is public, and able to be seen by everyone, because its purpose is different. Second reason is the characters posted in every tweet are limited, whether on Facebook your post can be as long as you like it. Twitter can be considered as microblogging for its limitation of words in every post. But is not blogging as it is because of the same issue mentioned, which is the limitation of words.

Instagram and Snapchat are my other examples of social networking, I use both of them but Instagram more than Snapchat. They can be similar because the use of Snapchat is mostly to post videos or photographs with small captions on the image/video they are called stories, on Instagram: Insta-stories. Both social networks are very interactive, the use of Instagram these past two years had increased the used of their Insta-stories since it was introduced, as mentioned the insta-stories are similar with the stories on snapchat, and perhaps that could be the reason why I used Instagram more than Snapchat. Instagram has the feature that Snapchat was providing me with before. Both social networks are great, Instagram with the posting of pictures and their offer filters to enhance images, which one can include hashtags, and those hashtags will show you everything that people has posted with that #title like twitter, but instead of words Instagram has images. Snapchat does not have that feature and the audience that will reach your snapchat feed will be smaller.
